HERE'S HOW IT WORKS — transparently.
If your home is selected for Decorate or Renovate!?, Maria's design and styling time is provided as part of the show. For a decorating makeover, you are responsible for the furnishings, art and accessories you choose to keep.
Planning a renovation instead?
Maybe you already know you want to renovate your kitchen, update a fireplace, change your flooring, or tackle another renovation in your home, but you're not sure what actually needs changing or which direction to take.
You can apply for Decorate or Renovate!? too.
There is no consultation fee for a Renovation episode. You are responsible only for any renovation, materials or trades you later decide to move foward with.
If your home is selected for a Renovation episode, Maria will come to your home and walk through the decisions with you on camera: what should stay, what should change, and where your renovation dollars are best spent.

What is a one-day Makeover?

Lamps, art, decor, rugs, pillows, styling accessories… The things that actually make the makeover. For most rooms, that investment falls between $1,500–$5,000, depending on how much your space needs.

How to apply
- Tell us your story in a few sentences. What bothers you most? What do you wish it had?
- Please submit well-lit, good quality photos of your room that needs a rescue, along with your story.
- It doesn’t have to be a large room. But we prefer it to be a living room or dining room.
- Be sure to tidy up your room and take photos in natural daylight with no flash. Submit 3-5 photos with your email.
how it works
- DECORATE: A one-day shopping, decorating and styling transformation. You are responsible for the furnishings and accessories you choose to keep.
- RENOVATE: An in-home consultation with Maria about a renovation you are planning. Maria will help you identify what should stay, what should change and the direction she recommends. There is no consultation fee if your home is selected for the show.
- One Day Makeovers are in-person for homes in the Fraser Valley+ Lower Mainland, BC only.
