For You!  (source)

My good friend Irene Fraser (below) from Design Happens asked me to give a talk on ‘Creating Flow with Colour’ next Saturday April 30 at the Ridge Meadows Home Show in Maple Ridge. I’ll be on the design stage at Noon and it’ll go for approximately 20 minutes and then I’ll be at the Benjamin Moore Booth right behind the stage for the rest of the day until around 6:00 pm, so please stop by and say hello!

Then I’ll be in Atlanta at Gregory’s Paint & Flooring, May 11, 12 & 13, 2011, leading another True Colour Expert Workshop!  There are two spaces left so email me if you would like to register!

Then right after Atlanta I’m flying to New York to attend Blogfest May 16, 17 & 19, 2011! It’s a whirlwind tour of the New York City interior design scene put on by Kravet & Lee Jofa for Home and Lifestyle bloggers only.  I’m really looking forward to it!
Then June 1, 2 & 3, 2011 I am leading another True Colour Expert Workshop in Toronto at the Designers Walk at 168 Bedford Road. Email me if you’d like to register.

June 23, 24, 25, 2011 are the Vancouver dates for True Colour Expert Training. It will be held in one of the classrooms at 8449 Main Street which is the same location as Choices Interior Decorating School run by Bea Driscoll.

If you are a decorator, designer or home stager who would like to expand your colour knowledge past theory and gain more confidence and most importantly learn the ‘why’ behind your intuitive advice or a homeowner passionate about colour and would like to learn how to choose the correct finishes and colours for your home without making expensive mistakes, this is the course for you!

Hope to see you very soon!

Wow. You are one busy lady. I do not envy the schedule, but it certainly sounds fun.

To those who read/follow this blog:

I attended Maria's color Training workshop in Atlanta — her first in the US — several months ago. I'm a licensed interior designer and will tell you…..this class is so worth it.

I learned things here I NEVER learned in school or 20 years of practice!

Maria is even more charming in person than she appears in her blog. Go, go, go. So worth the money. Your clients (and you) will benefit immediately.

    Hi Maria
Is it possible to do a post on decorating with orangey oak floors.
Many of us can't sand the floors to dark brown. Is the only option for decorating with orangy floors – harvest colors?
    thanks a million

    Hi Bonnie,
I have written a post about wood floors:

    Hope this helps,

I will see you next weekend in Maple Ridge. I've never been to this home show, but I hear it's fantastic! Look forward to seeing you then – how cool for you to be up on stage – you belong there girl. And… I'd HIGHLY encourage anyone on the fence to attend Maria's courses. They are chock full of information that is not on her blogs. Maria covers so much information at a perfect pace – not too fast or too slow. And… it's a hoot – so much fun and giggles too!

Ooo Terrific colour choice for the bathroom! Makes rolling out of bed and getting ready in the morning so much more exciting. Also, congrats on Blogfest! A fantastic trip to look forward to

Oh, I hope you will be in the states next year! I so want to do your colour workshop, but we have a "no buy" rule until we sell our other house. I always enjoy and learn from your blog!
