Two weeks ago my sister Elizabeth said. “Let’s get out of the worst rainy spring/summer ever in Vancouver for my birthday and go to Vegas”. So here we are, along with my two adorable nephews!
The following is for anyone that lives in the rainforest of Vancouver and Seattle. The rest of you can just raise a glass in your summer heat and be happy you don’t live up here in the RAINY north! One of my lovely readers Susan Seale from Victoria emailed it to me yesterday!
My brother-in-law Bill Jacobs (the best Chiropractor in Abbotsford) always rents a limo from the airport, he likes to travel in style. When we stopped at a store to pick up some Vegas staples on the way to the hotel, William and I stayed inside. Suddenly he handed me a champagne glass with water in it. Since dad had told him to stay away from the crystal glasses he thought he’d be off the hook if he poured me a glass!

I can sympathize regarding the lack of sun. My mental sanity requires it. However, we are having 99 degrees plus humidity in St. Louis and shade is the magic word here. A little cloud cover would be very welcome.
