Maria Killam’s Masterclass on Exterior Colour Selection

The new trend for exterior colours is black and white. I’ve never seen a trend sweep the nation like this one.

But it was too early for beige to come back and grey is on it’s way out for most people who are in the know about colour.

White seems newer and fresher than any other colour.

However, there are many homes that have stone from previous colour trend cycles. Stone that if you pair it with the wrong white or even try to incorporate black, might make it all worse than it seems right now (if you are craving an update).

What is the most classic and timeless colour?

I was recently asked to help a client fall in love with their brand-new house. They had such high hopes for their custom-built home, but when they viewed the completed exterior, they were just unhappy.

And they didn’t know why. Does that sound familiar? It was an issue of the wrong paint colours selected to support all the other elements already on the house.

I identified the problem with the current colours and selected the right colours. When the new colours were painted they fell madly in love with their home, and one of my readers called me The Colour Whisperer.

I can be the Colour Whisperer for your house too.
