My talented friend Lauren at Pure Style Home designed this fabulous room for the Design House in DC. For those of you lucky enough to live close-by you can tour it starting today and until May 9th and proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital.
This ‘Mad Hatter’ chair is designed by Lauren and part of her new furniture line!
Fabric by Lauren on a few of the above pillows. Her fabrics will be available in her on-line store very soon!
Look at the stack of ‘princess in the pea’ mattresses for the window seat!! So fabulous.

What a cool, relaxing design! I love it! But then green is one of my fav. interior colours! Bring on some nature!! Congrats to your friend!

Lauren did a fabulous job! My favorite parts are the floor lamp, colors and the curtain fabric!
Pretty! Now that's bringing the outdoors in – taking patterns and colors from nature.
I love everything about it: how the grasscloth envelopes the whole space, that insanely awesome lamp, the beautiful shots of green, that fun llama sconses, and of course those CHAIRS! What I wouldn't give for a pair of those chairs! Lauren is so talented, and I'm so happy for her success!
Love it, the pops of green really give it a lot of life without taking away from the serenity and calm of the space. Its so inviting and comfortable looking..like its inviting you in with a great book and fresh cup of coffee…beautiful!
That's so gorgeous Maria! How I love the black and tan with the green leafy accents. I'd live in this house in a heart beat! The mad hatter chair is awesome! And the stacked mattresses. So creative!
I love the addition of the green and linen shades to the black and white. I'm also having a real thing for bamboo blinds right now, and I love how these help warm up the space. I'm on the hunt right now for the perfect bamboo blinds for a wall of windows in my largely black and white kitchen. This inspires me to hunt faster! Thanks for sharing this, Maria!
My favorite part of the room has to be the glass lamp and the drapery!

I love how she stacked the mattresses – and her reason – her interpretation of the princess and the pea. The first time I saw that I was floored. So creative. LOVE it.
Love love love the fabric on the wingback chair chair. The contrast green back is lovely – reminds me of Richmond Park by Zoffany. Nice lamps and carpet too…..
