Last week, I showed you the one day makeover I did for my sister in law’s living room. The room looked great with the new decorating, but we had to wait for the painter to show you the full transformation.
Here’s the room before we started.
As you can see, the walls were a tired grey that related to the older sectional we switched out.
And yes, I completely decorated this room before the paint went up. And because I did, it was super easy to pick the perfect paint colour. Because while the logic would appear to go: paint and then decorate – it’s actually much easier when the decorating is settled to see exactly which wall colour will be perfect.
In today’s episode, I’ll show you why.

When you need a paint colour, how do you choose? I’d love to know… please share in the comments!

Great tutorials, Maria, especially part 2 on choosing a paint color. It’s so helpful when you walk us through something like this. Many thanks.
Really enjoyed these last two videos! The after looks wonderful.
Also very much appreciate that you get to the point(short videos) and are professional.
Can you please share the course of the turquoise sofa? Thanks.
How come you went with BM Navajo White when that wasn’t one of the samples you used? Trying to learn this stuff is hard! 🙂
Navajo White is an orange beige complex cream. I think her sister agreed with the orange beige, but wanted something much lighter than the samples given. Therefore she picked the Navajo White.
