I was flipping through my issue of September Vogue when I came across this image I just loved!
”He smiled so big his eyes shut” Sarah Jessica ParkerHe was called the ‘King of Chic Events’ and a ‘visual genius’. Robert Isabell passed away suddenly in July and so they honoured him with a page in Vogue. He designed the wedding of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick and told the couple the night before the wedding “to write a letter to their children and seal it, and never open it, but make sure they get it when we are gone. And we did”.

This is a timely question for me to answer. I find so much inspiration through the design blogs.
This morning I was on your blog to once again re-read your post on "white trim" to help guide me towards some paint decisions. Thank you for your generosity and inspiration.
He was amazing as a floral stylist and perfumer ( My fave candle in the whole world was rare amber of his!)

What a joyful image! My father wrote me a letter when I left for college…handed it to me just as I was stepping onto the plane. It is one thing that I have kept throughout the years and still cherish deeply.
I am inspired by color and texture mostly.

What a wonderful idea for your children! Creative people inspire me, but, also, those individuals who are thoughtful and kind to those around them. I bet they never realize how they have affected someone's life. Oops, maybe this was supposed to be just in the design realm.
