Wow, I just found this website The Color Career Counselor, powered by The Dewey Color System–the world’s only validated, non-language color-based career testing instrument– uses color preferences to determine successful career paths!
Just by picking your favourite colours you can find out what kind of career you should be in!
Key Words: Self-Control, Practical, Self-Contained, Orderly, Systematic, Precise, and Accurate.
My second best was CREATOR
Key Words: Nonconforming, Impulsive, Expressive, Romantic, Intuitive, Sensitive, and Emotional.
No wonder I analyze the undertones of every little thing, everywhere I go, it all makes sense now!! I can’t believe how accurate this was. . . your turn, tell me what it says about you!
That is so cool -I will need to go there and see what they said about my colour choices. Fun entry!
Here are my results:
I am an ORGANIZER
Key Words:
Self-Control, Practical, Self-Contained, Orderly, Systematic, Precise, and Accurate
That was so cool! I had fun – Thanks Maria
Yes, also an organizer, as I imagine many of us designers are.
Brown, black and white first, then the rest of the colours (purple last)…I wonder what that says about me. Can we still be friends? he he
Great Post…
So fun! Add me to the growing list of “Organizers”. lol
Organizer and then researcher!!! (even the word research scares me haha!!!) fun quiz… i picked blues & greens, white
xoxo
I’m a researcher and a doer…. hum, I write a blog… that does sort of describes my day.
Thanks color test- I suppose I have chosen the right path in life after all.
I have a lot to catch up with your postings… Great post! I will have to do the test and find out.

This was fun!
I’m a Creator first and a Persuader second. Maria, you’ve shared the key words for Creator… here they are for persuader: witty, competitive, sociable, talkative, ambitious, argumentative and agressive. Hmmm. I guess that means that I have the ability to convince people to hire me for my creativity!! 🙂
Thanks for the post – and thank you to for the greag blog; I’ve enjoyed following your posts!

Hey, Victoria copied me!! 😉 I’m also a Creator first and then a Persuader second. Not sure about Persuader, but Creator is dead-on for me 🙂
The purples and blues were all at the top of my colour list, greens and yellows at the bottom.
Thanks for posting the link to the test — it was fun 🙂
BTW, I really like your blog — lots of beautiful pictures to look at and interesting articles to read 🙂

My results are pretty scary and what a change. Took a similar (not color based) test back when I was 18 and after completing 5 pages, it said I would be best suited to become a 5-star general – ha! Long path took me to becoming a Managing Tax Director (CPA).
Now, the color test indicates I'm primarily a creator and then a social manager – couldn't be more right for my current occupation – stay at home mom to 3 1/2 year twins. Every day we do crafts or seek new experiences. Thanks for the link – it was fun and love the pink & yellow photo.
Hi Maria
I’m an Organizer 1st, Creator 2nd.
Organizer I guess comes with the territory of being an Interior Designer. I am glad it didn’t tell me I’d be good as a truck driver……
Great post and test Maria. I always enjoy career and personality tests. This test scores me as Creative/Researcher. Perfect for my dream job — writing novels, composing songs which I do in my spare time for fun. Maybe it will pay off one day!
~~ Victoria
I just noticed that one of the careers the test says I am suited for is interior designer! Now I understand why I am obsessed with it and constantly read, watch and think about interior design. Hmmm…wonder if I could have a career in interior design until my novels sell? Ha!

Hi there…new to your blog and love it!! I just took the color test. Somehow ended up in finance for years and was miserable. Went back to school to be a librarian and LOVE it. I have always been interested in the arts and design, which explains why I troll the design blogs in my spare time, and was an English major in school.
I took the color test and came up 1. Creator, and 2. Doer. It said I’d be a good interior designer and a good librarian – – HA! I guess there is something to be said to following your interests 🙂
FUN – – thanks 🙂
I came up with the same as you Maria! Wow! I am so surprised at the organizer part…..Really! my artist studio is a MESS! hee hee

this is a very old post but i'm skipping thru your archives, lol.
Color Test says Im a Creator, Researcher.
Keywords for Researcher: Independent, Self-Motivated, Reserved, Introspective, Analytical, and Curious
Without typing a novel I just want to mention that I've taken a number of quizzes like this since i was in highschool. I'm now knocking on 29 with a finance degree working as an Accountant. no wonder i dont 'like' my job. no wonder im not excited or passionate about my work like my husband is (research chemist).
I sincerely need to figure out how to break into a path that would better suit me and make me excited abotu work. currently my true self oozes out in my hobbies (and one of them happens to be endless hours online researching whatever the latest thing is tht tickles my fancy, lol) and the way I dress.
I typed you a long comment the other day on another old post. but the'puter ate it. 🙁
I found you thru YLF and I LOVE your blog. in fact when i was 12-13 i KNEW i wanted to be an interior designer (i let a guidance counselor take me off the path i should have never strayed from) your blog has reminded me of that passion.
…sigh….
i've tried to leave a comment a few times but Blogger keeps eating it and shutting down my browser. 🙁
i will try again and see if it will go thru.
extremely long comment shortened: I love your website!
i had fun with this quiz!
I'm a Creator, Researcher who has a Finance degree and works as an Accountant.
I need to get onto a path so I can LOVE my job.
ok…..fingers crossed.
That link no longer works but I googled for ” The Color Career Counselor, powered by The Dewey Color System” and found it. (already navigated away from their home page or I would have posted the link)
LOVE your site, thank you so much! SO MUCH helpful info!!
