I woke up feeling a little cranky today and then when I spoke to my mom she said “Don’t worry, there’s a full moon tonight and a blue moon!”

Which one of my blogging friends, Bette, talked about here in her lovely blog, Ideezine. Do you ever notice a shift in your mood around the full moon? When it happens to me I always like it better when there’s a reason 🙂

If you haven’t seen this baby dancing to Beyonce, you have to see it! So adorable!

I’m actually not dancing tonight – staying home with my sweetie and drinking champagne!

My trainer asked me today what my best New Years was and I would have to say it was when my now ex-husband and I spent Christmas week in Aspen with his parents. We arrived Christmas day, walked out into the woods (in the snow) cut down a tree to decorate (for their cabin), went skiing, ate good food and along with the snow it felt very festive indeed!

A toast to you!

What was your favourite New Years Celebration?

Happy New Year, Maria! I'll be lucky if I make it to 11:00, but I will be with hubby, and that's all that matters to me.

  2. Things That Inspire says:

Happy New Year! We celebrate New Years on London time here in my house in Atlanta – we actually watched a great clip on BBC of New Years all over Europe and Asia, which makes it much easier to get the kids to bed at a decent hour with the feel that we have experienced some of the fireworks and excitement!

  3. Mary says:

Happy new Year to you! Enjoy your champagne!

  4. Sarah Klassen says:

    Hello Maria,

Happy New Year! It has been a pleasure visiting your blog — keep up the wonderful posts! I am looking forward to great new things this year.

  5. little heart says:

What a lovely New Year's memory! I have to say finding you and your blog have been one of the most memorable points of my life in 2009. Thank you so much for all that you put out into the universe and all that you've put into my heart!

I hope you have a lovely evening and BEST*EST* wishes for the new year!

    Loves!
    Soma

  6. Ideezine says:

    Maria,
It is said that the friends you spend New Year's Eve with and the friends and family you spend New Year's Day with are always the closest connections to your heart. True indeed!

Thank You for the blog mention and link to Ideezine post on Full Blue Moon. May you continue to speak your wishes to the stars above and have them granted.

Our hearts are filled with those we've lost this year and they now become our "elders of assistance" on the other side. The indifference you felt when you woke is just due to you being in two places at once, a visionary, and earth child as well, and when the two parts come together and the full moon is present you have indifference. It will pass.

Continued success to you and I'll be following, cheering and commenting as we blog along. I believe in you and the changes you'll create and the successes you'll enjoy.

Happy New Year, Happy Full Blue Moon, Cheers Sweet Maria!

    Bette

  7. Carol Ann says:

Best New Years was my second date with my now husband…we found we had everything in common, and now 35 years later we will hang out at home with wine and cheese and watch the ball drop in NY city on tv…
The very best of the New Year to you, Maria, with a midnight hug!Enjoy your champagne!

  8. Sara @ Russet Street Reno says:

My best New Years was dressing up with my fiance and going to an all-inclusive bar event where everyone was in jeans and sports hoodies. I was the best dressed person there! haha

    Happy New Year, Maria!

  9. Francine Gardner says:

    Happy New Year!
I tried looking at the blue moon but it is snowing and the moon is not to be seen.
Just had a wonderful New Year with close friends, by the fire, drinking champaign….

  10. heather @ what's blooming this week says:

My best New Years was in New York City. My now ex-husband and I were staying right in Times Square. We had gone to Lincoln Centre for an event and were on our way home on the subway. Getting off the subway right into Times Square – people everywhere in blocked off squares left open spaces for cars to cross Broadway – there I stood, full evening gown, surrounded with people, yet alone in my own "space". 11:45 December 31st Times Square perfect.
    Happy New Year

  11. Ivy Lane says:

Happy New Year Maria! I did not dance last eve….was also home with my hubby… I can say every New Year's is my favorite from the last as the moment the clock strikes midnight, it is always a new start to a new year…I have had the privledge to share the past 25 New Year's Eves…with my hubby! Cheers to you in 2010!!!

  12. DesignTies says:

You know… my memory is terrible and I can't remember a specific New Year's Eve… maybe that's because I haven't experienced my most memorable one. What I CAN say is that any day spent with my Fella is special; the date doesn't matter in the least!!

Wishing you an absolutely wonderful 2010, Maria!!

  16. DesignTies says:

No particular NYE celebration stands out for me. A low-key dinner and/or house party with friends is my favourite way to celebrate 🙂

    Happy 2010 Maria!!
