The Best Tile Floor for your White Kitchen

By 02/18/2011January 30th, 201919 Comments

Remember that show The Cashmere Mafia? It was on a couple years ago and only lasted a season.  I have no idea why, I enjoyed it.

I even thought big, over scale earrings were suddenly in fashion and rushed out to buy a pair.

Anyway, the first episode included this white kitchen and I immediately fell in love with the floor. So when I saw that it was on Netflix, I photographed it on my TV because I couldn’t find it anywhere on-line.

I love the glass uppers, the cabinets are beautiful but look at the marble and white checked tile floor.  Black and white might be too strong but it looks so elegant with just the small hits of black accent tile.

Did you remember this floor from the show?  To. Die. For.

That is a great floor..so subtle compared to black and white tiles but the same kind of elegance.

American show, believe Candace Bushnell had something to do with it, but I could be wrong. It got cancelled pretty quickly. It premiered at the same time as Lipstick Jungle. The shows were really similar.

the floor is beautiful…but a little too shiny/formal for me.. I think a wide plank dark wood or slate would be divine!!!

I remember this show and Lipstick Jungle, so sad they were cancelled. Love the floor. Any idea why I can't see y anonymous posts on my blog. Thought I would ask since you seem so helpful on your blog. I'm technically challenged! Love your blog.

I'm wondering if that floor isn't the linoleum tiles that are used more commercially. We have used some in a smaller size for our loft space at our cottage – it wears really well, easy to clean, and glasses don't break as easily as on tile. Remember the linoleum tiles in some of the older high schools????? just a thought

Beautiful floor indeed but on a practical side for a kitchen and for a bathroom floor I always stay away from white. No matter how much you clean there is always some evidence of you having a toast or combing your hair (possibly in the right room). White floors look fantastic on magazines and on TV.

Shame the series ended. It starred Aussie actor Miranda Otto, the gorgeous redhead!

That floor is great. Love the gray with a touch of the black.

  • That is a floor and a kitchen I could call my own. I love floors like that, and my dream floor would be black and white diamond pattern on a wood floor. Heaven!

I don't remember the floor but I miss Cashmere Mafia. I loved that show.

I really like the kitchen floor..it almost looks 'retro' to me… especially when coupled with that huge clock in the background. My grandparents had a similar..clock but brass with more lines..in 1950. I don't know why I would associate it that way when it is so modern and elegant. But it's is gorgeous. What a great way to use grey by the way. :o)

I’m pretty sure that floor is a matte porcelain tile.
