Well today was a big media day at BC Place. I woke up at 3:00 am this morning and could not go back to sleep knowing that I had to be there at 6:15 am for Breakfast Television at 6:50 am.
Why is it that you’re always so nervous up until you’re speaking? I was on Breakfast TV for a total of 40 seconds so it wasn’t too difficult, and Dawn Chubai the host was fabulous!
Then at 11:00 am I was interviewed by Johanna Ward (above), the host of the go! Vancouver show.
We talked about my kelly green, Kate Spade inspired end table, (you can vote every day by the way) and a little about my presentation on the main stage starting Friday at 1:00 pm.
The winner will be announced Sunday at 4:00 pm and then the table will be auctioned with all proceeds going to The Habitat for Humanity!
Then Saturday I will be at the ‘Ask a Decorator’ Booth right after both of my talks that day. Come and say hi, I’d love to talk to you!

I am going to the show today and hope to see you and say hi! Congrats on the gig. Of course I voted for your table. Nancy and I are off to Victoria today for our 1 year anniversary. Will be there for the weekend. Naturally it has to rain.

My husband always says: “Frequent exposure to the fear stimulus” [alleviates the fear]. Of course, he won’t get up & speak in front of any group unless he prepares for 10 hours! He pushed me when I started to sing solos and was petrified–now I can be a ham, no problem! You look cute as a button too!
(I know, that’s so “off-trend” to say it that way…..
