Brick can easily be painted. I really like the look of mine with the change in furniture and wall paint. It was not that hard. Go to a good paint dealer and ask for advice. I washed brick with TSP and then used a glosser paint followed up by a slightly darker paint applied with a stencil brush.

I’m looking forward to that newsletter. I feel resentful towards my almond bath fixtures and tile and the pink beige brick fireplace.

  3. Maggie says:

I hope you will be coming to some Home & Garden shows in the US soon.
I’d love to meet you and thank you in person for all the great information you have shared over the last 3 years!!

I just sold my house today and I can’t wait until I can pick out colors for my new house –maybe with a little help from my favorite color expert 😉

  4. Donna says:

Don’t you look cool and fashionable disembarking in Toronto! 🙂

  5. Paula Van Hoogen says:

You are in for some fun!! Wish I could be at them all… Try and have it recorded so Irene can put it up on You Tube!!!

  6. Hello Maria,
I want to ask you a question. Is it possible to get your September Newsletter still? I tried to subscribe before, clicking on the right side box of your website and did not get the email and I looked at my junk mail and it wasn’t there. Then I subscribed again the day you have this post in because I clicked on the link that you posted above and it works! I got the confirmation email right away and the newsletter and I see on the archive home page that September Newsletter is not there yet.
    I enjoyed your blog a lot 🙂
    Thank you very much

  7. Brenda Schmidt says:

I’m having the same problem as Veronica regarding not getting the newsletters. ….
