My sister and brother-in-law came up with my 2 little nephews to spend the night on Thursday from Yarrow on their way to Whistler for the weekend. On Friday after they left, I missed my nephews so much, we jumped into the car and drove up to join them.
I didn’t even take my computer, so here I am, on my Brother-in-law’s laptop, watching the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival from the room. The photo above is pretty much the view from our room at the Pan Pacific Mountainside, where we’re staying. I did not ski because I have a low tolerance for being uncomfortable and hate to be cold, but I did enjoy the steam in this hotel and the hot tub, and according to my doctor who said there’s nothing he can do for my never-ending-cough except tell me to drink hot tea for the steam, hang out in the steam, and avoid extreme changes in temperature. . . well that’s what I’m doing.
Hope you are enjoying your Easter Long Weekend! xo Maria

Sorry you still have your cough. I hope you feel better soon. Whistler is a good place to recuperate. I love Whistler! I visited for a day while visiting Vancouver for a volleyball tournament. There wasn't any snow at the time but the scenery and the village were beautiful. Maybe some chocolate Easter eggs will help you feel better. They can't hurt. Happy Easter,
Sounds fabulous (for you at least–I hate the steam). Glad you went on a whim to get away, without the computer. I've been reading a bit about tech addiction lately and we need to do more of that.
Enjoy.
Maria,
Sorry to hear about the persistent cough try a teaspoon of honey before for bed time. Happy to read you followed a sweet tug on your heartstrings.
Happy Easter!

One remedy for a cough is to grate fresh ginger and put in hot water, soak a washcloth in the water and then place wrung, warm cloth on your back and breathe in.
There are also some Chinese herbs to help to break up the cough. Hope you feel better and enjoy time away with those you love.
Happy Easter to you.

Would love to be in Whistler for a few last days of skiing. My favorite place to ski ( i have been going for 15 years, sometimes twice a year) make sure you get your fill of Sushi at Sushi Village, next to your hotel!)Take care of that nasty cough. happy Easter
I have enjoyed your blog for awhile…but this is my first comment. Funny that it is health related and not color related! I had a cough that I couldn't shake and that a dr. told me a similar thing. It turned out that mine was due to lactose intolerance that came on suddenly. The dr. didn't figure that out – I did. Cut out lactose – cough gone. Now I think you had a cold first…but just wanted to throw this out there!

Honey and lemon the cure all. Feel better Maria and thanks for sharing on Easter. Enjoy your family.
My persistent cough turned out to be asthma. A few days of using an inhaler cured it. Might want to have it checked out.
Feel better soon!
Happy Easter… and… I hope that cough gets better SOON!
Take care Maria and Happy Easter to you from sunny Milan!

Happy Easter Dear!! (I hope you get better soon!). Many wishes!
Dear Maria, Thanks for sharing a post about what's happening now–with you. :o) It's a privilege!
I've missed several posts! Yikes!
About the cough..I know you've been to the doctor..so I won't add anything much except to watch out for processed foods.
My son found out that that was the major factor in his non-stop allergies.
Love the photo from where you are now. Looks so exciting!
