C Magazine via Velvet & LinenI just love the chandelier and the old doors with vintage oil paintings attached to them. And what really drew me in to this space was the charming vignette of mercury glass on her dining table! I am always looking for unusual ways to dress a dining room table and I had seen those balls-on-stands in my travels but wondered where they would ever go? Well here they are with the vases and candlesticks and the white hydrangeas, looking so at home.
Notice how one chair has been casually placed on an angle to get the centerpiece in the photo? These are the details that are so important when photographing interiors!
Brooke is such a fabulous designer and such a kind lady 🙂 Both of her homes are stunning — I'd move into either of them in a second!!
The vignette of mercury glass pieces on her table is really pretty. I've never really known what to do with those ball things either!!

Exceptional interior design without splashing water in your eyes using nautical red, white, and blue wide stripes etc.
It feels more italian villa lake front, very fresh, inviting summer feel.
Vignettes are extremely important as well as photography to capture personal effects and remind you that it's someone's home. They're sharing it with you.

hey maria… i also read her blog last night and i LOVE her house… the colour palette she used throughout… and all the beautiful little vintage pieces she collected and carefully integrated in her design. – you know how i love antiques!
i love the vintage doors too and what she did with them (so creative)… the chandelier (what a beauty)… and yes i had also noticed that the photographer moved the chairs a little! 🙂
however i didn’t know what those balls were… but now i do! (the vignette of mercury glass)
that woman has impeccable taste! 🙂
