Me and some of my colour friends at the Saturday night dinner.
Kohler
Nicole Wittwer, a Product Manager at Kohler reported that recently during a trade show where they were launching their new collection, Tresham, this image was displayed at one of their booths. People started lining up to get their picture taken right beside the pink boots in the above photo. She said they were mystified because people don’t usually get their picture taken with a picture. When asked why they were doing that the answer was, “Because those pink boots make me happy.”
She said that was an ‘aha moment’ for her because it really drove home the fact that we are craving happy colour. And the colours we chose today certainly reinforce that!

I agree, I've been craving happy colour for a while now, currently working on a new style for my interior with loads of colour! A different colour in every room

  2. De tout, de rien says:

I realized colour made me happy when I would use my coloured paper clips of all things. I had metal ones and black ones, but I would gravitate to the pink or the purple ones. That's when I realized it was because they gave me a lift. Something as small and mundane as a paper clip!

  3. Wendi @ Classic Chic Home says:

When I'm expecting a difficult day, I'll automatically choose a top in pink or blue, and it always boosts my energy level. Pink is my number one happy colour. I'm attracted to magazines with pink on the cover, and my kids tease me when we're out shopping, because I unconsciously touch soft pink items as we walk through a store!

That tub & those floors would make me happy.

  6. Christina Rodriguez | The Diva's Home says:

Definitely choose the colors that make you happy! But balance them with neutrals. Too much color can make your rooms look like a crayon box and make you feel agitated. it's one of the things I talk about in my book Sassy Decorating Secrets on http://sassydecoratingsecrets.com.
I like the blue boots better than the pink!

  7. Squeak says:

Forget the boots – just give me the bathtub and I'll be very, very happy!

  8. Diane Stewart says:

I've worn pink for years since it makes me, and those who see me,feel good. As a former social worker in home health, I visited elderly people. Whenever I wore pink, they would always tell me how wonderful I looked. They were starved for happy color, and I loved the compliments. P.S. Please tell Janice that I love her book and her attitude!!!
