I saved this image a while ago because I just loved the feeling of this room. The dramatic blue-green walls, matching silk drapery, and pale blue sculptured headboard. I also loved the design of the chair and ottoman, simple and contemporary, along with the plaid bench and toss cushion.

A little plaid is a wonderful accent, too much and you can tire of it too easily. Even though it’s a monochromatic colour scheme and the blue is cool, the richness and drama of the wall colour warms up the entire palette as the corners disappear in this room! The other thing that I like is I think there’s a balance of feminine and masculine qualities here and of course the fuzzy fur throw helps to keep things cozy as well! Just the kind of room we need in January!

  2. Anita says:

My first thought was: yikes! too dark! What were they thinking . . . but in the end, the dramatic walls and the light blue chair is lovely. You’re right ( as usual) very nice room to cosy up in on a chilly January day.

  3. Crystal says:

The wall is a little dark but the light colors even it out so perfectly. The picture makes me want to curl up and go to sleep!

  4. Patricia Gray says:

Even though the room is blue a color supposedly cool, I think that the tones of blue and the textures used makes it very warm and inviting.

I agree with you about the plaid- I didn't even notice it at first glance & I think that'show it should be. beautiful bedroom!

  8. My Notting Hill says:

Gorgeous bedroom – so sumptuous. Never would have thought of that color in a bedroom but paired w/that blue it’s so pretty.

  9. MEADE DESIGN GROUP says:

Is it wallpaper on the wall? I love the colour and the texture quality of the room is amazing.
