So many of you still have questions about how to use the real-paint neutral colour wheel and I want you to know that I hear you.
The colour wheel can be a super useful tool in helping you identify neutrals and whites easily and accurately. And since we’re all about 5s this week, over the next 5 days (starting today) I’m going to be sharing 5 helpful lessons for using your colour wheel around the house or with your clients.

Happy Birthday to Maria and Samantha!
Happy Birthday Maria! You’ve taught me so much about colour starting with the basics of undertones and I’ve been indebted to you ever since. I religiously read your blog. Thanks for sharing!
A very happy birthday to you! Thank you so very much for all the information you share with us on the blog. There may be others like me that are not on either facebook or instagram — would you consider posting the content from those sites on the blog too???
Me too, Elle!
Ditto what Elle and Holly say, and Debra and TL and Laura – I’m not on Facebook nor Instagram, but would appreciate the info. And happy birthday. I, too, thank you for your blog.
Yes, please! I purchased the Colour Wheel the minute it was offered for sale and would love the lessons! Like many others who have commented, I am not on social media.
I would love that, too! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ditto, I don’t (and WON’T) use Facebook or Instagram. Happy Birthday Maria, I had my 55th birthday 2 weeks ago
Happy Birthday!
My world opened up after I took your Specify Color Class and I am a better Interior Designer because of your training. Thank you!
Happy Birthday, Maria! I hope you’re having a great day and sharing it with your loved ones.
I’m so glad you’re showing how to properly use the colour wheel. This morning before I read your post I had mine out trying to figure out the undertone of my aluminum windows. What a great tool, but I do have a hard time figuring out the difference between green-gray and taupe.
Taupe to me is a strange color to figure out – like I was just asking myself if a darker, cooler brown as opposed to a warmer orange brown is considered a taupe shade or does a brown fall under the category of taupe at all.
Me too Holly & Elle . Not a social media subscriber and plan to keep it that way.
Happy birthday, Maria! Enjoy the new year and thank you always for sharing your knowledge with us.
Happy Birthday, Maria! Welcome to the 55 Club!! Love your blog. Seems I give your name to someone every week so they can see your magic, too!
Happy Birthday, Maria! All the best to you!
Happy Birthday Maria. It’s my birthday today too. When I first found you back in 2013, I figured out immediately why some rooms instantly gave me an uncomfortable irritated feeling. It was an epiphany reading your undertone explanation and have followed you ever since, read everything you’ve written and have recommended you many times. Style, flair, fun and logical is how I think of you.
Well said, Shelley! And, a very Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday, Color Queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
