What people say about the Private True Colour Expert Facebook page. . .

I enjoy the lively discussion and differing points of view offered on the forum. I’ve learned so much and have met so many great designers, everyone is generous with their gifts and knowledge. I especially enjoy the priviledge of being able to tap the wealth of technical knowledge from professional painters and decorative artists. Not just the “Why” but the “How” can be learned from the forum! Hannah Dee Interiors

I love the sounding board the forum offers me. Its such a great place to bounce ideas off and get input on projects. We get to share the good, the bad and the funny. I absolutely adore my TCE girls. Heidi Nyline

Maria, this is a class in it’s own right! Each photo challenge is like an exercise in color undertones and placement. Plus a place to “get real” about how you feel about your work and customers! Thanks, Maria, for making this available!!! Paula VanHoogen

Even more than the technical and design resources, Maria’s “Secret” Facebook page gives us all a safe place to ask questions and support each other. The encouragement from this group of ladies is overwhelmingly supportive – and it’s a lot of fun as well! I look forward to checking in every day!” Jil McDonald

What people are saying about my True Colour Expert Training. . .

Dear Maria,
You might be surprised to hear I think about you all the time.  But not in a creepy stocker kind of way.  More like I’m so grateful to have found you. I’ve learned so much from your blog and even more from the color workshop I attended last February.  It was a great investment in my business.  As a stager/designer I do color consultations frequently.  I use your large sample boards and the knowledge I have from your ebook and training.  The sample boards are THE best color tool I have.  I’m fascinated by color and your theory has had a huge impact in my life.  It’s like the express train.  I don’t know how long it would have taken me on my own to understand what you’ve created in your system. So, thank you.  I have my fingers crossed you’ll create an advanced class, please?
Thanks again for adding so much to my life/business. Ruth Chancellor Designs
The Toronto experience was rewarding in so many ways, so stimulating from a creative point of view and so supportive from a personal and professional point of view. Maria was incredible, she is so strong and business-minded, as well as talented, quite inspiring. I’m also really loving the Private Facebook Forum, what a stroke of genius she had in creating this! Allyson Paris

Attending Maria’s TCE workshop opened up a new world to me of how I see color! If that wasn’t amazing enough, she added a TCE forum that opened up a network of designers, color experts and color enthusiasts from across the US and Canada. My fellow TCE’s are so open with their knowledge and ideas and there to support me in my design triumphs and my failures. Through the forum, I am able to continue learning about color in ways I never thought possible and make a ton of new friends doing it. Andrea Anthony Brooks

going to one of your classes is on my bucket list! I was LOL at the start of this post, my neighbors painted their stucco home dark brown and black on the stucco trim above the windows, it looks like it has dark eyebrows!

Love this post. I feel like our workshop was just yesterday. But I especially love the private forum. Everyone is always so helpful and so much fun. I belong to other private forums, but nothing compares to this one. Thank you so much, Maria.

Hello Maria, I have been following your post for quite a while now and thoroughly enjoy everything you share, including updates about your lovely home. I would like to know what prerequisites or prior knowledge one needs to have to sign up for one of your True Colour Expert training courses. Thank you! – Valerie

    • Maria Killam says:

That is a great question. Designers who have been in the business for years are in the same place as new decorators or homeowners because this is my system which everyone is learning at the same time. Anyone without design experience will fit right in. You just need to be in love with colour!

I wish you would post some of the private forum questions and answers once in a while with common questions…..for those of us who “aren’t in the business” but would love to know for our own decsions….envy those lucky gals!

Sigh, sigh. I second a lot of sentiments that Ruth Chancellor Designs feels. All the way here in India, just from reading your blog. You would do very well as a Professor too. You teach so well.

How about a tour in Europe? Start with Italy and hop over to Greece. You’d have to lower your prices a bit (we’re all unemployed, starving designers here you know…), but hey – we have lots of sun and greek food to compensate! I’d love to meet you in person and talk about the differences of designing in different countries!! (I was always fascinated about the ways in which the climate can affect the style of living). Cheers to you and Terreeia!
